The São Paulo-based musician and composer Johnny Monster has released another single in anticipation of his new album, A Nova Era Do Só Você, which will be released on October 27th via ForMusic Records.
This time, the featured track on the album is "Armadilhas do Pensamento" (Traps of Thought), a reflective yet energetic song driven by a country folk-inspired guitar riff and organic sound.
Johnny had already anticipated the sound of this new work, citing influences from artists like the Beach Boys and Velvet Underground : "The album is super vintage, recorded organically, and with few edits. Producer Carlos Eduardo Freitas were inspired by productions from the 60s and 70s," he says.
The album "A Nova Era Do Só Você" will also include the tracks "Os Pássaros" and "Cidade Grande ," singles previously released. It will be Johnny's first album since "Futuro Perplexo ," which featured collaborations with artists such as Clemente Nascimento and Leela , among others.
"Traps of Thought" is now available on all platforms.
